Offline reading

Inkline caches full articles on the device, so everything you follow is readable without a connection: on the Underground, in the air, or anywhere signal dies.

The reader: full article text with bookmark, note, listen and type controls

A reader that needs a connection is a reader that fails on the commute, which is exactly when most people do their reading. Inkline syncs while you have signal and keeps the full article text locally.

Offline is also a side effect of the architecture. Because there is no server dependency, the app degrades gracefully: no spinner waiting on someone else’s datacentre, just the last synced state of your world.
